I worked at the ammo desk for FORCECOM and Carson came in to chat about training ammo because he was headed to Reliance. He was SOOOO excited. He was dancing around in the little space by my cubicle, gigantic happy smile. He said he might need some help as he struck out on his own on the ship. We chatted and I was so happy to see such a cheerful young man. I gave him my cell phone number in case he needed anything at all. He was always so thankful, appreciative, polite and thoughtful. When my name was on the advancement list, Carson was the first person to send an excited congratulatory message! He was so happy I was going to advance to Sr. Chief. In my time knowing him, I knew he was best friends with so many GMs around me that I loved and respected, and he quickly joined their places with me. I'm thankful my last memory in person was that gigantic grin excited for what was to come. I'm thankful I knew him. The world was definitely bright when he was present.
